R.I.P Shane McConkey

The legendary skier died in a Ski Base Jumping accident in Italian Dolomites at the age of 39.

"According to ESPN, McConkey experienced problems in the air after launching off a cliff with the expectation of deploying his parachute canopy and then gliding down to the ground. A witness said a ski failed to come off in the air, causing McConkey to spin out of control, preventing him from deploying his parachute."

My condolences go out to his family, wife and 3½-year-old daughter...

Shred Union

So I joined this little website called www.shredunion.com I really do not know a ton about it, but it seems really cool. You can go on there to write reviews, read reviews on anything to do with snowboarding and maybe even hook yourself you with a shred date.

Just check it out....

Citi Eff'n Bank

Why is everyone looking for a bail out? Flour City is not looking for hand outs…. Maybe that’s because I was brought up hard working middle class. I learned that you buy what you can afford and make due with what you have. Greed is what got this country into the situation we are in….

The Dead Milkmen playing in my back yard

The Dead Milkmen are back touring again and playing some smaller venues….. I’ve always been a huge fan of these guys since a young age, but every time they came close to Rochester, I couldn’t make it for some reason or another. Well, NO excuses now….. They are playing in my back yard or basically 4 blocks behind my back yard.

Been around the World

Once again I have been completely slacking on this blog….. It needs an updated face lift and needs to be linked up with the website we have been working on for Flour City…. Its hard to keep up on this when your trying to build an Empire in the Mid-Atlantic.

Anyways, tonight is the “Hoods to Woods” Movie Premiere. Already put in for the RSVP and plan on taking a few ladies to peep it. Should be a good time. Its Playing at the “Blue Seats” on Ludlow St from 6pm til 1am…. Make sure you RSVP@hoodstowoods.com

So what has Flour City been up to? Trade Shows, Snow Demos, Turning Dirty 30, Making Laps when possible and just trying to live the dream
